To participate in the IAG Teacher Program, you must demonstrate your English proficiency.
This ensures you can effectively teach and communicate in a U.S. classroom.
Why is this required? #
Schools in the United States require teachers to:
- Communicate clearly with students
- Collaborate with staff and parents
- Deliver instruction in English
Because of this, your English level must be officially verified.
Accepted English Tests #
You may submit one of the following:
- TOEFL iBT
- Cambridge English Assessment (B2 or higher)
- ACTFL (Intermediate High)
- CBEST
Alternative Option (Free) #
If you do not have test results, you can take:

Important EFSET Requirements #
Not all EFSET tests are valid.
You MUST take:
👉 The 90-minute EFSET Test
❌ The following are NOT accepted:
- 15-minute test
- 50-minute test
Your EFSET results must include: #
- Your full name
- Test date
- Overall level
- Reading score
- Listening score
- Speaking score
- Writing score
Minimum Level Required #
You must reach at least:
👉 B2 (Upper Intermediate)

- Go to: https://www.efset.org/
- Select the 90-minute test
- Complete the test in one session
- Download your certificate
Special Case: English-Speaking Countries #
Applicants from English-speaking countries may submit:
👉 A letter from their university confirming that their degree was completed in English
(This may be accepted instead of a test result)

Common Mistakes (Very Important) #
Avoid these common issues:
