Meet Jorge Garavito, an English teacher from Peru, now living the J-1 Visa Teacher Exchange experience in the United States

Originally from Nicaragua, Saúl is a passionate Math teacher working in the U.S. for over two years. He shares how he went beyond the standard curriculum during his first year, introducing multiplication to his students even when it wasn’t part of the program. For Saúl, seeing his students succeed is the reward that transforms his own life, every day.

Originally from Nicaragua, he is a Bilingual Spanish teacher in the U.S. Francisco shares how teaching the same group of students year after year has helped them grow from knowing no Spanish to confidently speaking and writing the language. As an international teachers they not only bring knowledge — they build lasting progress.

Karolina is a 4th grade teacher in a Spanish Immersion Program. Originally from Managua, she joined IAG seeking new challenges and the chance to experience a different culture. Her journey in the U.S. has been full of growth, and she describes her experience with IAG as “fabulous.”
