How the BridgeUSA Exchange Works

From international recruitment to ongoing support, IAG USA manages every stage of the BridgeUSA Teacher Exchange Program — ensuring your district partners with certified, English-proficient educators who bring global perspectives to your classrooms.

Through partnerships with Ministries of Education, teacher training universities, and government institutions — primarily across Latin America and other regions — IAG USA identifies certified teachers who meet BridgeUSA and state-level requirements.

Candidates hold valid teaching degrees, classroom experience, and an English proficiency of B2 or higher. All credentials are evaluated for equivalency to Arizona Department of Education (ADE) standards.

We focus on high-demand areas such as Special Education, Math, Science, and Dual Language Program

As a BridgeUSA designated sponsor, IAG manages all documentation and compliance under U.S. Department of State supervision. Each teacher participates in pre-arrival orientation and receives guidance on relocation and cultural integration.

Districts receive continuous support and compliance oversight throughout the exchange term, ensuring alignment with ADE policies and federal regulations.

Upon arrival, teachers become part of your school community, participating in mentorship and professional development initiatives.
IAG provides ongoing communication, performance monitoring, and 24/7 support to ensure stability in the classroom and a successful three- to five-year exchange

Certified Impact: Isaura Medina’s Story

Isaura, an IAG teacher at Glendale Elementary School District, was honored with the Mosaic Staff Award for her outstanding effort in creating an inclusive and culturally responsive classroom.

Coming from Nicaragua with 5 years of teaching experience, Isaura was eager to share her heritage. She has introduced her 5th-grade students to Nicaraguan Independence Day, traditional foods, and cultural events like La Purísima. The most rewarding part? “Seeing my students’ genuine curiosity about Nicaragua,”. “When they ask thoughtful questions about my country and make connections between our cultures, I can see how teaching goes beyond academics—it becomes an opportunity to build cultural awareness, respect, and understanding.
