Employment

Employers are required to offer a full-time position, paid at the same level as U.S. citizens serving in that role.

Mentoring

Participants of the IAG program thrive when the host organization offers mentoring, whether the mentoring is formal or informal.

IAG also provides professional development and support to exchange teachers before they arrive in the U.S. and throughout their experience.

Performance Standards

The employer is required to provide and document clear and consistent feedback to the candidate, ensuring that performance standards are met.

Cultural Training

Host organizations help to facilitate cross-cultural activities and act as local support for the exchange teacher.
